What 'Research Use Only' Really Means
The legal and practical meaning of the 'research use only' label that appears on most peptide vials.

What the label communicates
'Research use only' indicates that the supplier is not selling the compound as a therapeutic good. It sets expectations: not for human consumption, not approved by a regulator, and the supplier is not making medical claims.
What it doesn't communicate
It is not a quality guarantee. It does not mean the compound has been tested for human safety. It does not mean a regulator has reviewed it. And it does not legalise human use.
